Hi All,
I am applying my Labor on EB2 tomorrow (07/26/2007). Is there any glim chacne for me to get the approval before 08/14/2007? I am going through Atlanta. Please let me know how long is the average time to get the cetification from atlanta center. (One of my friend applied on 07/17/07 and got the LC on 07/23/07 from atlanta center).
Thanks All.
You could take a look at Track it. It will give you an idea of Atlanta backlogs . You could have a very good chance at Chicago though . Your friend was one in a million lucky and you could be one too .

Hello,
Does anyone know if a H1B can be transferred from a University to a company? Has anyone gone through this process?
The present h1 position comes under university (non-profit) category. You cannot transfer your H1 to a company which falls under profitable category. You need to apply for a new H1 which falls under cap.

Guys, My labor was moved to Dallas Backlog center and got approved in 2006. When I searched its detail in files from flcdatacenter.com, I could not find any labor that matches my ETA number. I am not sure if there is any way to get the details. Though, online status site of Dallas backlog center shows the status but without any usable details. My labor's ETA number starts with D-xxxxx-xxxxx. Does any body has similar ETA number ?

Hello,
I have few questions and seeking your advise on it. Currently I have a H1B and EAD with EB3 category GC application.
1. I am working on H1B for "X" company and they have filed extension for it. Now, I got an offer from "Y" company and they are willing to transfer my H1B.
Is there any problem for H1B transfer to the Y company while it is filed for extension from my current employer?
2. The new company "Y" is also going to file my new GC labor and I-140 as job has little different and senior role but similar to what I had in my previous H1B and GC labor in EB2 category.
Now, can my current employer "X" company remove I-140 or create any kind of problem for my immigration status, specially with GC?
Any information, you can provide will be really helpful.

Hello Everyone,
I need some suggestions from you guys.
My Employer A filed my green card labor in April 2000.
I was working with them on H1B till May 2003.
I moved to Employer B on H1B in May 2003.
Employer A continued to process my GC, and they filed my I485 in Jan 2007. I paid for the expenses.
My I485 is now pending at TSC.
Also Employer A confirmed they will support till i get my GC and I dont have to work for them.
Can I use AC21 portability to move to another employer C using my EAD?
Do you see any issues i may face since i am not working for employer A?
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I have completed my 6yrs H1-B and currently have 1yr h1-B extension until Jan, 2010. However, my PERM application for Green card was filed on Jan 2008 and is still on hold.
Given the above case can I still transfer my H1-B to a new employer with 3yr extension? I have heard that after the 6yr period H1-B is over sometimes there are cases where 3-yr or new 6yr period H1-B are issued. Can someone advice me whats the best scenario for me?
Thanks.

Sheehan: I will beat Pelosi (http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/sheehan-i-will-beat-pelosi-2007-07-23.html) By Jeremy Jacobs, July 23, 2007
If Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) refuses to bring articles of impeachment against President Bush to the floor of the House, anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan said Monday, Sheehan not only will challenge the Speaker in the next election but also will defeat her.
Discussing President Bush and Vice President Cheney, Sheehan said, We put them there. We can fire them. If Nancy Pelosi doesn't do her constitutionally mandated job by midnight tonight, tomorrow I will announce that I'm going to run against her.
And not only am I going to run against her, but I will beat her, Sheehan added.
A spokesman for Pelosi, Nadeam Elshami, said the Speaker and House Democrats are working toward their goals this Congress and would not address Sheehans proclamation.
The Speaker and House Democrats are focused on ending the war in Iraq, holding the Bush administration accountable and delivering a new direction for the American people, Elshami said. Those are the priorities of the Speaker and the Democrats.
Sheehan seized the anti-war spotlight during her extended protest outside the presidents ranch in Crawford, Texas in 2005, after her 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in Iraq. Speaking at a demonstration at Arlington National Cemetery, Sheehan argued that it is Pelosis constitutional obligation to impeach the president.
The administration has abused our soldiers. They've abused our freedoms, Sheehan said. They have killed my son and countless others. And they must be held accountable.
Impeachment is not a fringe movement. It is mandated in our Constitution. Nancy Pelosi had no authority to take it off the table, Sheehan said.
Sheehan Arrested in Impeachment Protest (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/23/AR2007072300697.html?hpid=moreheadlines) By NATASHA T. METZLER The Associated Press, July 23, 2007
WASHINGTON -- Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested Monday at the Capitol for disorderly conduct, shortly after saying she would run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over the California Democrat's refusal to try to impeach President Bush.
Sheehan was taken into custody inside Rep. John Conyers' office, where she had spent an hour imploring him to launch impeachment proceedings against Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Conyers, D-Mich., chairs the House Judiciary Committee, where any impeachment effort would have to begin.
"The Democrats will not hold this administration accountable, so we have to hold the Democrats accountable," Sheehan said outside of Conyers' office after the meeting. "And I for one am going to step up to the plate and run against Nancy Pelosi."
Sheehan and about 200 other protesters had walked to Conyers' office from Arlington National Cemetery. She said Conyers told her there weren't enough votes for impeachment to move forward on the issue.
Forty-five of Sheehan's fellow protesters also were arrested. Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said that after they are processed, the arrested activists could each pay a $50 fine to be released.
"Impeachment is not a fringe movement, it is mandated in our Constitution. Nancy Pelosi had no authority to take it off the table," Sheehan told her group of orange-clad activists before they began their march from the national cemetery.
Sheehan, whose 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in Iraq, has been saying for two weeks that she would seek to oust Pelosi from office by running against her as an independent in her San Francisco district if Pelosi didn't change her mind by July 23 on trying to impeach Bush.
Conyers introduced a bill last term calling on Congress to determine whether there are grounds for impeaching Bush. Pelosi has steadfastly dismissed any talk of impeachment, saying Democrats should focus their efforts on ending the war in Iraq.

Hello All,
Below is a link I came across which is easy set up, formatted already for users to input their personal information and off it goes to the Congress to educate them about the importance of travel industry and meetings market. Is their anyway we can come up with something similar and easy to use so our users that do not get on the bandwagon at times just because of the extra work that goes in to it can also contribute?

My employer says that he is going to run the taxes from the state where the company is located and not from the state where I'm actually working.
Says something changed on the company's front and the CPA advised that there won't be any problem .He's giving me all kinds of reasons about how he can't run the taxes from my state and says there won't be any problem in 485 stage.
If called for the 485 interview we may have to bring our pay stubs to the interview .In that case would there be any problem with this scenario.?
By the way the address I have on file for all my applications is another state (different from where I'm living and where my company is located).(If) called for an interview I guess it will be in the state which is on my applications . Does any one know if I'm right?
Please let me know if this fine.
Thank you.

Immigration attorneys are all too aware that U.S. immigration laws are so overly strict our last three Presidents would all be ineligible to even visit our country, much less to qualify for green cards. Think I'm exaggerating? Consider that a person who admits to smoking marijuana a few times, even as a teenager many years ago, is forever banned from entering the U.S. If you were born in the Philippines, before you can qualify for a green card, you must undergo a medical examination at St. Luke's Hospital in Manila to make sure that you do not have a dangerous...
